Red, one of the “lighthouse” colors in the world of fashion.
It’s synonymously represented: vitality, self-confidence, love, passion, luxury, wealth. If you want to get noticed, dress up in red! It’s festively excellent for a celebration or a reception. Whereas, wearing red to a job interview or a courthouse is considered very inappropriate.
Dress yourself up in ALL RED is not as simple as that. Making sure that your outfit and your accessories are coordinated. As red is available in several nuances, finding its correct match from head to toe is not an easy solution. Avoid falling into the cliché “lady in red” by trying to marry red with other colors. You have plenty of choices: black, white, cream, navy blue, blue denim. For something unconventional, if you prefer, associate it with brown or chocolate color. Rather bold? Mix red with orange (not fruit, of course!) or fuchsia, turquoise. Also pay attention when white color is used! In the photo, red blouse which looks like getting very well married to a white skirt or a pair of white pants, is guaranteed giving an effect of a blouse on a pole! Not unless on one condition, your legs are lean and long.
And about the jewelry?
Gold or silver jewelry or even gold color accessories are the good choices.Their sizes are depended on your outfit. “Large” or “loud” for a simple outfit. Slimline and discreet for a fairly detailed one. As in the photo, the red dung-like knot, for example. does not need any jewelry. It is pretty enough in itself.
For the makeup
You would say RED of course! But it is not only this color that can enhance your beauty. Be daring in fuchsia or bright pink. Have a light hand on the rest of the face: eyes, cheeks. Personally, I banished the red lipstick, it screams my age 10 years older! Too “flashy” makeup is not your cup of tea? Choose to wear nude and neutral tone lipstick. Accent on eyes in place for not having a too-pale look. Yes, you know that red garments take care of an attractive look, your face must not be overlooked as well.
Showing up with no makeup in a red outfit is a kind of fashion suicide. Its attractive “lighthouse” color will steal the spotlight away from its wearer!
Come on girls, dress ourselves in the color of passion, it makes us look more sexy! Believe me, I’ve already tried it myself!
Côté maquillage, me direz-vous ROUGE évidemment !

Great post! I remember our instructor at Marangoni, Milan, asked the whole class (all women) what color of suit a female boss should wear when holding an all-male-employees meeting…Nobody gave the right answer… To our surprise, it was a red color!
Thank you Lena ! Oh, I didn’t know that….maybe because of red represents vitality, fighting instinct and aggressive tendencies at the psychological level.
Me either… I wasn’t aware of this. Plus, every culture has a slightly different perspective on colors, especially when it comes to the choices of what to wear.
